March came in like a lion and went out like a lion. I'm ready for spring. We have a bird feeder that my dad gave us so that Carter could further his interest in ornithology. I took some pictures of the poor birds in the snow today. They're not very good because I took them through the window.

Le Zoo
We went to the Zoo yesterday with our friends Bridger and Noah. We had a super fun time and minus one near death experience it was a great day:)
Bridger, Noah and Carter at the zoo.
Bridger and Carter checking out the alligator.
Will tolerating his day at the zoo.
Will still tolerating his trip.
Carter's favorite animals, a daddy giraffe and a baby giraffe. That's probably the mommy, but when Carter plays with his animals, the baby giraffe is always accompanied by his dad, not his mom. Evidently, Carter's dad is much more fun than his mom.
Everyone fell asleep on the way home and both mommies got a yummy treat:)

We had a great Easter. We decorated eggs on Saturday morning and the Easter Bunny came and took them to Grandma and Grandpa B's house and hid them in their backyard so Carter and Jacob could find them. We had a picnic with Grandma and Grandpa G and dinner with Jacob. On Sunday, we went to church and had birthday dinner for RoseAnna and a party for Parker and then a party for Caleb. It was a great weekend!

A Proud Moment

Today, I ate seven bowls of this deliciously addictive cereal. Seriously. I mean, who does that? I have been imagining Jillian from The Biggest Loser yelling, "SEVEN BOWLS! You actually ate SEVEN BOWLS?!" Yes, I actually did. I'm carb loading before my big race--Michael Scott style. (The Office, season 4, Race for Rabies episode where Michael downs a huge bowl of chicken fettuccine alfredo before he runs a 5K to support the cure for rabies and then pukes and has to go to the hospital.) Anyway, I just want to say that I'm awesome and if you've ever eaten seven bowls of cereal, we should be friends.

S'more S'mores?
Take two of our adventures with s'mores: Ryan and Chelsi came over to roast marshmallows. Just like last time, Carter didn't want to have anything to do with eating the roasted marshmallow. However, he really liked sticking his stick in the fire which is a huge relief to me. I would much rather have him being dangerous than upping his caloric intake. *Phew*.
He tried to help Jeremy light the fire and ran up to him with a match and said, "I'm a Boy Scout!" (My dad told him that he couldn't use a knife or matches until he was a Boy Scout. So now when he wants to do something he's not big enough to do, he says that he's a Scout.)
Here's Carter practicing for Scout camp. Oh, boy--I can hardly wait.

So, Carter is much too wiggly for pictures and this is pretty much the best one we could get of him. I guess "photogenetics" doesn't run in the family...get it? Oh, that was lame.

I thought his picture was so funny. Payton totally tackled Carter trying to give him a hug. It was cute.

Oh, Brother!

On the way home from Aunt Kat's birthday party, Will was crying because his binky fell on the ground (probably with Carter's help). We had to pull over so that I could get Will's binky and this is what my goofy boys were doing. The rest of the way home they laughed and laughed and were so hyper that it took about a half hour to settle Will down and almost an hour and half to settle Carter down. I can only pray that they will stay buddies like this when they're older:)

Wild West
We have a fireplace and it's totally great because we can roast marshmallows. We had David and Andrea and girls over for stew (which was too spicy), burned biscuits, and s'mores. I feel like the burned biscuits added an element of realism since I'm sure a lot of cowboys burn their biscuits out on the range:)

Those trees are in our neighbor's yard. The birds hang out in those trees and then dive bomb to the sunflower seeds in our feeder.
