Happy Birthday Will
The Weekend in Reverse
3:00 pm. Saturday:Here's Will and Great-Grandma D at their house celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We had dinner at the Lion House after that, but I didn't get any good pictures.
Here's Will and Great-Grandpa D with Will's rocking chair that Grandpa makes for every great-grandchild for their first birthday. THANK YOU! It's such a special gift.
1 hour earlier:
Here's Will swimming for the first time in Grandma and Grandpa's pool. He hated it.

Will
Will and his present from Grandma and Grandpa JJ. Carter really, really likes it. You can't tell but he's holding a shovel that he got for Will's birthday. Now he can dig in the garden with Dad.

I think this picture is so cute. Katrina and I (mostly Kat) made caterpillar cupcakes for his birthday.
Yummy:)
We went to Grandma and Grandpa DD's for a barbecue with all the cousins on Memorial Day. We sang Happy Birthday to Will and had cupcakes and ice cream. Here he is will all his cousins, minus Paxten.

And I just had to post this picture. I can't believe he's so big already. Happy Birthday Little Will!

Garden
Here's Jeremy after 30 minutes, I had to beg him to smile.
After four hours we hit the second pad of cement on one side. We decided to call in reinforcements. We paid my brother, Burdette, to drive down from Logan to help us with the rest.
It only took a couple more hours to pound out the rest of the cement and dig up the poles.
Will really enjoyed being outside, basically unsupervised. That is a gigantic chocolate cookie he's eating.
Carter really liked playing in the huge cement pile and almost got squashed by a really big chunk of cement. Luckily, Burdette saved him.
Here's our final product. We had to cut out about 70 square feet of sod and we rented a truck from Home Depot and we got railroad ties from the farm store and a couple bags of turkey manure and we tilled it up and planted beans, tomatoes, peppers, one jalapeno, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, and butternut squash. After we planted all our stuff, I realized that we probably planted it all too close together and now that it's hot our plants are going to die anyway. I guess we'll be more experienced next year...
